do you ever hear the intro theme to a video game and you get really emotional and your heart feels really weak like it’s coming back home and it’s basically like that whole world you love so much summed up into one epic song and you just want to fucking cry a lot because this is the video game for you and nothing else ever can even compare to the feeling you get when you hear that one fucking bit of music

Somehow just to music from the Zelda games… Somehow.

Raging bitch and animal friends.

I really am proud of my title here.. :)

That aside; let’s take a look at some of the animal friends that you meet in this game. First off, there is Ricky the boxing kangaroo, then there is Moosh the flying bear who helps you get the bananas, then there is Dimitri the swimming Dodongo.

cute, and kind of hilarious. These guys are all here to help Link move on with these dungeons.

Raging Bitch was the drink I had when I first met Ricky.

This is a fruity, and surprisingly piney, Belgian IPA. The rage in this monstrous brew comes from the ludicrous amount of yeast that you can taste in this… I actually remember being initially turned off to this taste, when I first had this beer a couple years back. Now, however, I can really appreciate it. The piney flavor cuts through the yeast quite nicely, it almost levels out, but in truth is still slightly sour. It was interesting within the context of the animals, because there were multiple flavor profiles at play, and there are multiple aspects to each of these animals as well.. They are all fun and yet at the same time, I’m rolling my eyes at the mere presence of them. I enjoyed it a lot though.. this beer is definitely worth a double take!

Pollentor and the Posion Moth

When you think of Pollen, the first thing that people with allergies think of is a lot of sneezing…

But after this delightful brew from the genius’s up at Ithaca Brewery, the first thing on my mind is this beer: The Pollenator.

This beer has light notes of honey, followed by a grassy, refreshing finish. There is a very fine line between the heavy, earthier stouts, and this crisp, pale ale.  Essentially you encounter the hops a little later in the brew, and it isn’t as aggressive up front. Overall, a very drinkable, quenching beer.

This added nicely to the Summer season that I just unlocked in Oracle of Seasons, that you need to get in order to take on the Posion Moth dungeon, (seriously, who thinks these names/bosses up?)

You get lush, unraveling ivy now in the game to signify, that yes… it is in fact summer, and it very much adds to the enjoy-ability of this beer. Although, it would have fared a little better with kicking off the spring season in the game.

Either way, definitely try out this beer… It is mild, refreshing and ever-so-slightly sweet.

A very enjoyable one that I am writing in at
